Is ChatGPT free version useless?

So, today my ChatGPT subscription expired and I was trying to do some work that usualy with Paid version is working 90% of the time and I found that is imposible.
Its not responding correctly even for simple tasks. Retry and giving examples also did not help.

I remember that before Paid Version was announced, the free was much better.

So, you guys still using Pro version or we are swithing to Playground or Perplexity?

What is the best AI Now? Bard? Chat GPT? Others? Thank you.
 
I'm using the free version but so far I had no problems because I mostly use it to brain storm ideas and always create scripts with my own ideas but in my case are just simple task.
 
Ofcourse no. I use free version mostly and I think that it's all about prompting.
 
i use pretty much all of them, gemini, chatgpt, bing, etc... all depends on the tasks,
playground is surely the best choice as you can modify the api parameters to meet your needs & more available models & could be cheaper
 
One thing I like the Playgroung, is that you can put the prompt in the system and the data in User part, and if OpenAI does not respond like I think it should, I ask him what did he not understand and what to add to my instructions to be more clear. Or I can ask like, rewrite the prompt so you have it more clear

The free version of Claude is just as good as gpt 4 reasoning.
Its better knowledge cutoff date wise and speed wise

I use both interchangeably for complex tasks. This is coming from someone who picked gpt 4 over barde, gemini and whatever other models had their week of 'gpt-4 killer' fame

all of 'em. it depends on what you want.
 
It works fine on my end. They even improved the results in the latest update. It used to reject queries for years after 2021. But Now It don't.

Who told you that? The free version of ChatGPT (GPT 3.5 Turbo) is an extremely useful tool for many things, especially because its content window is like 4 times more than the one ChatGPT has with GPT-4.
 
The ChatGPT free version is not useless if you know how to use the prompt properly. But yes, you will get better results on ChatGPT4.

Too bad there is no more Bard. Plus, the backlash with Gemini and the retraining that will take months and millions of dollars to fix.

I use v4 , mostly due dalle and some stuff but 25$ is hmm not gettin reinvested yet.. saw before ppl had subs for even 5$ or so idk i tryed turkey resident proxy etc chrome sensors also but still same fixed price pro version.. does fine for now.. but yh depends what u want with it even 3.5 can work fine. Tho idk how updated chtgpt nowdays is data wise.. But yh.. does the work at end both versions. Btw what ppl use to animate pics nowdays what ai and is there any cheap or free one?

Also anyone has any usefull good yt prompts? For videoscripts, etc? Would be nice to share it :)
