Hey yall. I added SSL to my site. I 301'd everything, but this obviously doesn't pass along all the link juice....so i want to update my PBN links to the https. If I do this for 25 links, though, will it cause any problems or has Matt Cutts gotten inside my head and made me paranoid? Thanks!

You think too much here! I never read anything like https your PBN?! You are wasting your money, just use it!

Ok, let's clarify what exactly do you want to do. Are you talking about adding SSL to your PBN sites (switching them to https)? Or, are you talking about updating links on PBN sites that point to your site? The former is a bad idea. The latter should not be a problem.

First of all when you 301'd the http to https yes it did pass the juice. The new site will soon take over. It takes a bit of time though.

If this is a money site, then add it do Google Webmaster Tools and add the https version. Then tell Google to crawl the http version so it finds the 301's. Make sure to 301 every url, not just the home page, using a easy to do .htaccess redirect.

Sorry I wasnt more clear. I would be changing the links pointing at my MS to their new https version. I was concerned because I read google views http and https as completely different sites. So, if i changed all my PBN from pointing at one Money Site to another Money Site that would be a footprint. Apparently i completely over thought this, though, so nevermind and thanks for the help!

Add SSL to you PBN and spare a couple of months to waste before they regain their link juice.
