Hello Guys, As motioned in the title, do i have to optimize my category description for SEO?
ps: i have an educational website.

Nowadays, tag "description" have no any influence in SEO.
But, is informative for users as is visible in search results under the title.
So, keep it informative and optimize only for users.

It helps your visitors to quickly know about the categories, so try to make it short and crispy it will increase the session time of visitors, it also helps in reducing the bounce rate of the website.

It helps establish context but given how Google updated their algo, you're better off with DOMAIN/KEYWORD-SPECIFIC-URL

from a user point of view i would definitely want to know what the link is all about and it should be informative and interesting enough for me to click on the link.For seo one should definitely think of the user perspective google would always like to think the user
