So I'm kinda tired of doing SEO and blogging without any success just feels like I'm burning money. Anyways, I want to ask is it profitable to buy a website that earns 1k/month? I'm wondering like won't the traffic go down if you do not maintain content and backlinking? I'm worried that if I buy it then traffic goes gradually down after months buying it it would be a bad investment.

i bought 3 sites with traffic on flippa but after stopped get traffic
so no

How are you going deal with maintenance ?
A website needs constant maintenance you know that right?

I would be careful with this, some site sellers are known to sell a site that actually makes them X amount per month, but once the new owner takes over, they can remove powerful links (sometimes hidden) that are generating high rankings which enables the OG owner to make that income.

Sometimes, the links could just be real, but put in blackhat methods so just naturally go down, like Churn and Burns. I sometimes do that.

If you cannot build a site with 1k traffic, my suggestion don't buy one since probably you cannot differentiate real site, compared to the fake one with fake traffic. and even if you get one, can you mantain it

a lot of sites uses website exchange traffic that tricks the customer that its "real" and authentic

If you buy a blog, you need to constantly provide new content. If you buy a store or product reviews site, you may get traffic as long as the products are relevant. Regardless of that, you need constant maintenance and updates to maintain the quality of your site.

Agreed, otherwise not worth it

if it was a real cash cow, the owner would not want to part with it.

It depends.
If it's making $1k and they can prove it. If it has a potential to scale and the price is in an attractive range, yes.
All sales should come with a 1 month support on the sites management and monthly maintenance fees, and backlinks should made be clear (including PBN's).
There is plenty of people who spare the ranking waiting time and go for profits right away.
