Is Buying Sim Cards Worth It?

For as long as I have been an Internet Marketer I have never used physical sim cards and phone numbers for verifying accounts. Be it Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or whatever I have always used online sms services.

Something that I have noticed when using these services is if you ever need to re verify it down the line you can't because you don't have that sim card number anymore.
I have been really thinking about this and wondering how many accounts I have made and lost over the years.

So my question is, how does everybody else verify their accounts and where do you usually buy your sim cards?

Most sites let you use phone to verify but you don't need to leave it on the account. If you ever need to verify again you can just add a new number

Yeah remove the number after you verify those accounts.
Or if you have a handful of accounts just get some local sims.

You can also hire some guys over Philippines from what I know Sims are pretty cheaper there and you can easily reverify if needed.
