Stay away from buying followers, this will screw up your targeting. your issue is with the funnel as there is a reason why meme pages have several videos with 1mil+ views but their followers are max 3k. It's because they either don't have a cta or they can't answer the question of - why should i even follow you? Unless you provide something valuable that the viewer needs - he/she wont follow you. Entertainment is free on IG but real value is scarce.

Honestly, it depends entirely on what you expect them to do.

If you're buying cheap bots hoping they'll interact with your posts and make you go viral, don't do it. You're just going to tank your engagement rate and kill your account's organic reach. The algorithm catches that instantly.

But if you're a new brand and just need some initial 'social proof' so real people actually trust your page when they see your ads, buying a few thousand high-quality, aged accounts works perfectly.

TL;DR: Never buy them expecting real engagement, only buy them for the cosmetic look of authority.
 
There is a balance to be struck with buying and gaining organic.

Someone with very few followers can buy some to get started and not look like a dead account

Someone with a lot of followers can buy to push their numbers even higher

But buying and not focusing at all on organic growth won't get you much other than bragging rights

Fb looks at engagement, comments above all now. Try to post content that gets comments out of people, it will naturally boost your performance!

Honestly! I wouldn’t buy followers. If your account is already getting around 2M reach with only 700 followers, that means your content is doing well. Just keep posting and real followers will come to you.
 
Bought followers profiles just don't look good - even with lots of selfies and it's because they have lots of selfies that don't seem taken by real humans users, you can tell those are bots at the first sight.
 
Buying followers usually doesn’t help much because most of them don’t engage with the content. Low engagement can actually hurt the account’s performance.

I suggest you go the organic route because the SMM panels that provide followers usually have not accounts; it will inflate your metrics for a short period of time but it will be only a vanity metric.

My personal opinion is that it shouldn't be done. Although services that sell followers for advertising purposes may sound appealing, in reality they often provide low quality accounts that damage brand reputation. An account with 2M followers but only a few dozen likes per post will immediately arouse suspicion from partners and customers.
