If you get what I would classify as 'fake' fans liking you page, is this bad for down the track when you want to use paid advertising/paid highlighted status updates?
I think to successfully use FB you need to use FB's paid services, much like PPC complements SEO, but... does the fact that you have 'fake' fans affect the cost of promoting a post? For example, you will be paying more to make your ad spread further, but you will be paying extra money to 'reach' those fans that are 'fake', which do not actually interact with the brand, and are merely there to inflate the fan base and make the brand look better.
I would like to use both methods, both fake fans and FB advertising, but I guess I'll go with the real deal if they don't work well together.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
