Is buying a popular Facebook page worth it?

Hey guys

So I found a guy selling a Facebook page with 270,000 followers and a group of 95k for $400 and I'm wondering if it's worth it?

It gets little reach of 5k people per day and the group has less than 30 posts a month, yet the following is massive and promoting links within will likely drive a lot of traffic.

Wanted to hear experts on this

It's quite hard to answer; it completely depends how you're going to monetize it and how much you can make from each user (average). Niche plays a big role. Is it a page about busted cat anuses with hemorrhoids, or finance payday loans?

How long do you think it would take to make your ROI back?

I was planning on driving traffic with it to my websites. I have two in the niche that are monetized selling ebooks and AdSense.

Unfortunately not US traffic so RPM about 1$ on average
 
400$ only it is good buy

Still quite hard to say if $400 with give you a good ROI. You'll know best here, IMO.

I would get it, $400 isn't too bad either way.

Thanks for this. I followed the other user's advice and asked to try promoting a link to my website before buying to do some math on the potential returns

The big question is those followers engaged with the post. You could have 1 million followers and if no one likes, shares, comments it really makes no difference how many followers you have.

Check to see what the interaction is on past post.
 
It's pretty complex to see this. Generally as a rule of thumb I've been buying groups in the past for around $1/1K just for the sake of it (like a commodity) if I liked the theme of the group, even without interaction (knowingly that it was pure social proof, pure fake followers)

Anything beyond that, required the analysis of the interaction. And mostly all cases, just pay for the interaction also to increase the price. So nowadays I like to check the assets and the quality of the assets (the publications) to see how much time invested and how it has been satisfying their public for a good time enough to see if there is potential interaction based on logic, more than metrics.
 
It is worth it, but it depends on the plan you have for the page. You just need to know your proper analysis for yourself
 
It's not worth it. Seeing that it's only reaching small amount of audience vs the total likes/followers of the page it is clearly a dead page and group.
Don't buy it.
 
It used to be worth it. But about 2 years ago facebook made an update to how page content shows up on people's feeds. So basically you're lucky if you're getting 1% impressions out of total possible when you share something on the page. It isn't like instagram where a post would most likely show up on someone's feed. I doubt their posts are getting many views.

My thoughts exactly, theres a ton of chinese and indian bot accounts on Facebook that follow anything in its path.
 
It depents on niche but i wouldnt invest any $$ for Facebook Pages or Groups.
First of all you dont really know if the likes/members are legit.
Even if Facebook page has legit likes,post reach is really low so you will have hard time in order to improve that.
Price looks to be enticing but without high engagement that page (and group) are worthless.
I would suggest to invest that amount and buy some Facebook bot and few aged accounts.
Then create your own Facebook page+group and grow them naturaly by promoting your posts in targeted Facebook Groups.
Posts engagement and reach will be higher in few weeks than the page that you mentioned.

I have grown multiple Pages and Groups with that method and always works like a charm
Of course that method needs some time but results will be great later.
My top FB Group has 200K niche targeted members and top posts can get more than 5K likes.Of course post reach is insane.
I dont even promote that Group and it grows rapidly everyday.
 
$400, which is a very attractive price, but as brother @zeronymo4 has analyzed, even if this is a legitimate page, likes and followers, post reach is really low. I think you should suggest checking before you buy
