Is bulk emailing scrapped emails illegal?

    Hey guys,

    I see a few people talk about bulk mailing email lists of 100k + and they get these lists of paid sources or scrape them..isnt that illegal? Cant you go to jail or get sued by doing so?

    What are you thoughts on this?

    It's illegal in some places, legal in others. Judging by the amount of spam I get daily on several inboxes, spammers are doing fine.
