Is BTV Solo Scamming Affiliates? Has Anyone Promoted This Software?

I've been promoting this product 2 1/2 years now and have sent them 100K+ hops easily.

I haven't been watching sales for this specific product since the traffic has been 100% autopilot and I normally don't check my transactions just sales.

The "avg$/sale" back in May 2015 was $31.86. Back in 2014 it was around $24.85 the point is it was always around $25-$30 commission.

Today I noticed I'm getting $2.70 commissions then checked to see when they made this change and they did it June 2015. Then I check around Google for more information, check Clickbank and can't find anything. The commissions simply dropped to peanuts for no apparent reason.

To me, it looks like a sleazy fucking sleazeball move. As I was making way more money before and now this product is fucking WORTHLESS to promote.
I can contact BTV but I don't really care what bs excuse they have as I'll be redirecting all my traffic to their competitor.

But I want to know from people who've successfully promoted this product.... wtf is this shit? Are they trying to go out of business cause this seems like the best way to do it?

$2.7 is better than nothing. I've seen some vendors change to their own payment processor after gaining some momentum with CB.

Yeh I learned that with Dub Turbo like 3+ years ago. That was the first product I ever promoted. I started making good money promoting brand keywords. Then the owner pulled it right off Clickbank. I realized months later I was sending free traffic to his site. Then he emailed me some bs sob story about affiliates abuse. So I called him out on his forum and got banned.

After that I told myself "never again". That's why I buffered my funnel for BTV targeting nonbrand keywords.

It's not that big an issue for me to redo my content & redirect traffic.

But there's gotta be a legal way to avoid this. For instance, right now I'll likely redirect to Dr Drum Beat Maker. But in all probability they're gonna pull the same stunt 1-2 years from now. Dub Turbo's done it. BTV's done it. Dr Drum will likely do it. There's gotta be a way to work OFF Clickbank or create some extended contract where I'm guaranteed a specific % of commissions for as long as I send clean, converting traffic.

I realize LOTS of vendors do and the reasons seem obvious:

1) Clickbank allows it.
2) Affiliates are too dumb to protect themselves or do anything about it.

So what's the solution? This is a BIG problem IMO as people never (I should say rarely) do this in local marketing. And the reason why, if I'm making you lots of money and you're paying me commissions... then you try some sleazeball shit your business is finished. I'm redirecting 100% of that traffic to one of your competitors. Or I'll get LLC'd myself and subcontract the work. We had this happen 1 time and put the guy out of business 2 years later. That's why the brokers and subcontractors we send work to now.... they wouldn't even think of trying something like this as they know they'd be unemployeed.

This is shady shit and something needs to be done about it. Clickbank is essentially acting as a middleman for exit scams. What's worse, the fact that affiliates accept this and facilitate it as normal business practice..... rather than scamming.... wtf?

Only thing I can think is start working directly with vendors. What the hell do I need CB for?

Looks like it is available for $7, not sure how long they have been running the promotion.

Is this the official site? https://btvsolo.com/solo

That's it! Interestingly enough I can't stay on that exact url (tried both computers). Everytime I land on it I keep getting redirected to:

https://btvsolo.com/15-off

And on that page it mentions nothing about the $7 offer. It says $33.95 for lifetime access... idk wtf is going on right now.

Try clearing your cookies, there is some tracking going on. If I go through to the site from Google I get sent to the /solo/ discount page.

Thanks man. I checked before with an incognito tab and the same thing happened.
So with incognito open I cleared cookies which brought me back to normal chrome (to clear cookies) went back to BTV and got redirected.
Then I cleared cookies again, shut down chrome, opened it up, went to incognito to BTV and got redirected.

Then I remembered I've never visited BTV (or CB) in firefox so I went to firefox, cleared cookies, was redirected.
Then I viewed with FF in private mode, the clear cookie option wasn't available, went to the site and was redirected.
Finally I just opened my VPS went to the site and wasn't redirected.

My only guess is they're using htaccess to direct cold traffic to the $7 deal. Then anyone who visited previous to the $7 deal is going to the 15% deal. IDRK.

They are redirecting depending on location. Just tried in several browsers ended up on the discount page. (I am in the UK)

Tested with US proxies and it is the same behaviour you get.
