Is Blogging Still Profitable?

Long time BlackHat Lurker/Lost Account user here. I had a few Bloggers from 2011 and one from 2012 running that made me decent cash.

My question is in 2014 is the market over saturated or is niche blogging still profitable?


What providers do you find to work well in 2014 Wordpress, Blogger or custom domain with completely hosted cpanel and operated new site etc??

Self hosted WordPress with domain to start then convert to static generated site once traffics warrants it.

Good advice!! Mr Blue would you say would be a better approach to have a site centered around blogging or where blogging is an added feature

Go for wordpress , and own domain name , do recent research in keywords and monetize when decent traffic comes.
