I can say yes without second thought. All you need is to learn everything in depth about it first. Then start blogging. Many people think you will start making money from blogging from first day but its not like that. You have to spend time and effort first. Then you will get the reward.

Even if you find a niche that is profitable and that you are passionate about, and keep producing great content week after week for years, you may still not see a big increase in traffic to your site. You need to spend 20% of your time writing epic content and 80% promoting it. One of the best ways to speed up the process is to constantly do influencer outreach and guest blogging. You'll have to learn A LOT if you want to become a successful blogger.

Only way to make good money with blogging is, If you are able to rank your articles for high paying keywords. Yes it is profitable but you got to be good at Ranking those articles!

The keywords don't necessarily have to be (instantly) high-paying, or even conveying buying intent. Information-seeking keywords (what is...) are great lead magnets that you can use to collect emails through a downloadable highly relevant freebie and make money by building trust and a relationship with your audience (and tagging them while milking the whole funnel through automated email sequences). Also, it's not the keywords that are really important, but the topics that are already proven to be popular. A high-paying keyword will not be of much benefit if the traffic behind it is poor, or if you can't make your articles built around good keywords convert well. With blogging, conversion doesn't necessarily mean sales but can be as simple as getting an email or a social media share. The way to research the topics to write about is to research the most popular (shared, liked) articles on the biggest influencers' websites in your niche and write about them, but 10x better.

In fact, as a blogger it's often better to choose keywords that don't carry buying intent but are more informational in nature, to collect emails through a downloadable freebie. The reason is that bloggers do better by building relationships with their readership and "buying intent" keywords are a lot more competitive in general than information-seeking ones. You'll have an easier time ranking for them. But there is no single key to becoming a successful blogger. You need to get so many things right, it's not even funny.

Starting a profitable blog is… hard.
Setting a blog up isn’t hard. Not at all. It’s what comes next that’s hard. Writing and re-writing. Learning... Staying motivated when traffic drops 60% in few days (or staying motivated when you have yet to see traffic growth at all).
Making graphics, figuring out social media, finding your niche, growing your audience, learning SEO. These things don’t just happen overnight. It takes time. And it takes effort. (But so does going to a job you hate – to earn half of what you’re worth.)
How am i able to give a answer to is blog is still profitable? (For 8 years i have been running blog websites and by today i have covered 4 different niches that my blogs rank on the very first page of google for majority of keywords that i covered). One of my incomes come from these 4 different niches that i have covered.
There are loads of ways for a blogger to monetize their site, and I personally have chosen 3 revenue streams to focus heavily on. I monetize with ads – so for every page that someone views, I earn passive income.
I also monetize with affiliate links – and I sell digital E-books which are written by ghost writers from freelancer services.
Combination of these 3 streams is what creates a solid residual income monthly....

Seophantom, you've been doing fantastic. And there is so much monetization potential left for your blogs! Creating your own sets of products, from a freebie all the way up to the highest ticket items, without any overlap (all of them are complete packages on their own, but paving the way for the next, higher value offer) is still a possibility for your blogs. I can't even think of a better one if one is willing to do the research and the work needed to create relevant and excellent products/services.

Problem with majority people that start blogging is they don't treat it like a business and many mistake and think they can write 1 blog and it will go viral or rank on the very first page of the google. With that mindset many fail!

2) Keywords optimised for
3) LSI Keywords used
4) Backlinks
5) How interlinking is done
6) Article length and writing style
Am I missing anything out?

Yes, you can type whatever in your mind it suggests related KW you can find some high volume keyword with low difficulty. Use kw tools instead of Google kw planner.

Well I think the profit primarily will be determined by what type of traffic that your website is capable of pulling.
If your blog has USA traffic or traffic from premium countries, then you can surely monetize your site through a PPC and the cost per click is pretty decent for such traffic.
If it does not have premium traffic, then you get a few cents per click, which is not really worth the time.

From my experience, it is the one of the worst ways to make money online currently. There are various other easy options.
