It is still profitable. I work with many bloggers, so I know this firsthand. However, you need to find a niche that isn't saturated, and you also need quality content. Don't ever use spun copy and don't have people write for you that don't have a good grasp of English.

Absolutely profitable. But as everyone says, write, create content and setup a good site on a good platform. Most people like wordpress. Social media is a must. For me crypto Twitter has been BLOWING up. Now they have the "spaces" talking rooms, real easy to get engaged in the community.

Blogging for keywords for niche sites is not really blogging. Its marketing.
Speaking your mind out for things you think or know about is.
For former you need backlinks. For later you need bulk content, domain age with some backlinks because you will get picked up for keywords even if you have not done any SEO because it is in bulk.
Mostly they are about digital marketing or tech. For eg labnol.org

YT and TikTok don't diminish blogging because we prefer text instead of video on plenty occasions. Rather they complement each other, you can bring traffic from yt and TikTok to your blog.

It's only profitable if you take it seriously. Just creating a blog and throwing a bunch of articles at it thinking you'll get non-stop passive income doesn't work. It will take time. Every long term asset does. Many people give up too soon when they don't see enough traffic.
