Hey guys i just wanted to ask something. We have a 250-300$ budget, and are planning to buy a domain. We are going to put wordpress and its going to be some kind of Tech-related blog. So is it realy worth it and is there going to be any significant income? We are also going to spent most of our budget on buying backlinks, facebook, likes and twitter, folowings. If yes can you please show me some guidelines i can folow? :D:D:D Thanks in advance.

Worth it? Sure, as long as it's executed correctly. Just make sure to choose a good niche; just "technology" will not land you anywhere even remotely near getting your money back.

Well, we are tech guys, we like testing the newest technologies and making experiments with them. Our point won't be to copy technology related news from bigger websites, but to make our own. I don't have much experience with these SEO tricks so any help would be useful.
Thanks in advance!

Hey,
I wanted to ask the same thing too! As a tech guy I love testing the newest things, so I wan't to make a technical blog (for example - testing different phones, making comparisons, etc..). I will invest some money in buying back links and other traffic techniques but I'm not sure if I will get any money from that blog. Since I'm new to this, I would be very happy if you introduce me some monetizing methods (such as Adsense).

Blogging is probably the best way to get traffic in the tech industry. Your domain just has to have quite a bit of credibility before it will rank well in Google though. I suggest you start by just guest posting on other technology blogs...it's a great way to build backlinks too.

Its definitely worth it and the kind of content which you are trying to post will help you turn viral. Or you can just write guides and get the pages ranked.

There is lots of money in this field as Tech Blogs get the most offers for paid links. So go ahead

Did I miss where you explained your plan for monetization of the blog? If there is no plan maybe you should pump the breaks and not waste $300. It's totally possible, but only the most well known bloggers are close to making a living from blogging alone.

Please do be aware that the technology niche is quite competitive, and that you won't see any returns of investment for a year if you invest 300$ in backlinks with no experience. I tried the same as you and it still hasn't paid off yet, as there are so much tech blogs that cover nearly all the subjects you are going to write about. You create a review about some phone? Someone else does it better a week later.. Like someone said before me, you need to spend a lot more to get some authority and brand awareness before you will start to rank

Well there are many Tech blogs just because people love that. I just don't have other ideas. Other thing I can do is to a monetized website with many views from Flippa. Would it be better? I don't want to make like $1000 montly, $100 would be enough. That's why I'm here. So what would bring me more money - a tech blog, or a monetized website from Flippa?

No one can give a "guarantee" answer to this question. What you do will be what you will get in return.

Do review articles and read meathead1234's popular Google Alerts thread, some people made it and so can you.

It will be worth if you will optimized it well. =) if you overcome engadget. sure you will say to yourself "Worth it!" haha! =)

It requires lots of patience to generate income from a tech blog. The main sources of income from tech blog is adsense but cpc is low for tech related keywords. You will have to look in other income sources like paid posts and affiliates.

There's soo many people who got famous and reach by blogger so why not !

You don't need $300 to start a blog, $100 is enough, and not some crapy one, but a good looking. An article for a newbie like you http://askkarine.com/2012/12/04/blogger-vs-wordpress-vs-wix-cheatsheet-for-newbies/ It may help,I don;t know...

The possibility is definately there if you want to make money, especially if your going to do experiments with hardware and write original content. My best bet would be, set up the Wordpress Blog, BUT don't spend any more money apart from what is needed for the Domain and Hosting, and set up a youtube channel. Do the reviews and talk about the experiments on Youtube and write an article about the Youtube video and link them together. If you start getting traffic to your blog that way then you know people want to read about it and then you know its worth investing in.

based on your question I would say the odds are against you......

Man, there are a million and one tech blogs out there.
You don't have to be an expert in whatever niche you start, as long as you know how to research and have decent writing skills you can fake it.
But if it's what you want to do, just do it.
Good luck :)
