Is blog comments worth?

Blog comments can still be useful, but I wouldn’t expect much SEO value from them these days. Most of the links are nofollow anyway. If you want free backlinks, I’d focus more on relevant forums, niche communities, profiles, and places where you can actually contribute something useful rather than just dropping a link.

honestly not worth it anymore, 99% of comment links are nofollow so you get almost nothing from them. maybe some traffic if the blog is active in your niche, thats it
if you want free links try the haro style sites like Featured and Source of Sources, or just be active in forums in your niche. one real link from those beats 100 comments.

They are useful mainly for the people who want referral traffic to get their website visibility improved.Though they are not a good primary method for link building.
I would suggest you to get towards forum,profile etc because they have a good link quality which can drive traffic towards you brand/website.

They can still help with traffic but don't expect much ranking power. Quality and relevance matter more then getting lots of free links.

Blog comments are no longer as effective if your goal is to use them for backlinks; it's better to collaborate with other websites by writing posts in exchange for a link to your site.
