I'm doing manually link building and my task now is blog commenting. I install mozbar on chrome and search for a related blogs to comment (high PA/DA blogs)

My questions is: does blog commenting play an important role these days and how to drop my link in my comment

1. Use Name + Website field to drop my link so my anchor text will be my Name (in Name field should I put my Real Name, my website name or my main keyword)?
2. Use HTML <a href=> to drop my link in comment body using my main keyword as anchor text?

Please give me your advice

Thanks

i would advice you to use blog comments as tier 2 (to your web 2.0 for example)

I don't talk about spammed blog commenting. I'm mentioning high PA/DA, relevant blog comment with related comments not "Thank you for your article" style

I personally think it's natural to have a few relevant and quality links from blog comments.
Just think for yourself... don't you think it's natural that if you have a great and helpful website that someone actually will post a link to it in a comment?

They can't harm your website if they are niche relevant and high PA/DA, plus they diversify your backlink profile.

If you really want to claim the top spots for your keyword, employ better link building methods. Manual blog commenting (in the way described by you) will get you nowhere.

Its safe if you do that with common sense, just focus on PR and relevant interesting comments then admin obviously approve your comment. It will increase your link diversification and provide you a huge keyword variations. So to me, its natural and healthy for your site.

i`m also talking about high PA/DA not spam comment :)

Sorry for misunderstanding your post. I thought you're talking about mass blog commenting. I just want to ask is it worth doing that because It takes my time

Yes, blog commenting in high PA/DA blogs has really an important role, do not miss it. You better put your link with a hyperlink, with HTML <a href=> code and put your keyword as an anchor text.

It's worth the effort if you comment on a blog which is in the same niche as yours and also having a great amount of traffic. Just to make sure to put in great comments so that the webmaster and the readers of the blog will trust you and visit your site.

Its like a colab. Add some value to the users and they will follow you. Simple as that.

I am ranking a blogspot and used some blog comments in my link building. I did notice some rank increases and the blogs weren't niche relevant. Competition for the keywords I'm targeting is fairly low though so maybe that is the reason. I say just test it for yourself to see if it makes any difference.

You must use the same niche to avoid penalties google.

Because google count all queries visit and how long a user interacts in your website.

So Google knows the value of your website and pagerank that must be made to it.

It's a good way to build relationship with other bloggers in relevance niche.
Even it could not so effective in SEO wise, you'll get to see some traffic from those meaningful comments that you've made from other blogs.

It's better to put your name + website url in website field. This could lead to better approval of the comments.
When you get well engage with the comments; you could post helpful relevance url in comments itself.
Most of the time helpful comments are approved.
Even if most of them are no-follow, but it won't hurt to do with manual, helpful, engaged and relevance comments in those blog. That will lead to have more referrers and traffics.

Blog comment is the most powerful way to get links for your site. If you have done some comments on the relevant blogs then you will see definitely increased number of backlinks of your site and it will help to get fast ranking.

i dont use much blog commenting on my strategy this days but i can tell you one thing, blog comments on spammed pages and not relevant pages do not work

Yes I do think that Blog commenting is still playing good for SERP ranking because many people out there who totally depends upon blogs.Using ahref will be good in my point of view.

Blog comments still worthy for your website.
Just try to search that type of blogs where you can register before comment, so it will gave you benefits as if after sometime that page turn into spam you can easily remove your link from there.
