With AI-driven algorithms and stricter Google penalties, is there still any room for black hat SEO tactics like PBNs, cloaking, or keyword stuffing? Do they work temporarily, or are they completely dead now? What are your thoughts on the risks vs. short-term gains?

Honestly it's a pretty terrible gamble these days and those tactics aren't completely dead but it's not like in the old days anymore. You might see a short-term pop in rankings but Google's updates are getting smarter and more frequent, so you can get a penalty fast these days from Google, and if you get a penalty from Google it's pretty much game over for you and your website.

Black hat SEO still may show some short term gains, but with today’s AI driven algorithms and ever tighter rules by Google, the risks are very high. Techniques like PBNs, cloaking, or keyword stuffing can get you visible for a whilebut you’re essentially building on shaky ground. Eventually the penalty, de indexing or ranking drop often hits. For long term stability it’s smarter to invest in ethical, sustainable SEO.

still works short-term if u know how to mask footprints. PBNs w clean aged domains, randomized hosts, mixed anchors can rank fast. but u burn sites quicker now. cloaking still hits in niches, just not for long. risk = churn-and-burn model, good for cash not brand.

Black hat still works, but only for quick wins. Google catches patterns much faster now, so the risk is higher. If someone is building a long-term site, it’s not worth it. For churn-and-burn projects, it can still give short bursts.

Black hat still works in 2026, but only in smaller, careful doses. Things like cheap PBNs, stuffing, or cloaking get caught fast, while well-built networks and subtle tactics can still move rankings short term. It’s basically a trade-off: quick gains are possible, but the risk of losing everything is always part of the deal.

Black hat tactics still pop up with short-term momentum, especially for quick tests, fast traffic boosts, and temporary ranking experiments. Some methods like controlled link networks or aggressive on-page tactics can still deliver early gains when used carefully. For anyone running rapid campaigns or testing markets, those fast boosts can still be surprisingly effective when managed smartly.
