Is bitcoin officially in Freefall?

And please, stop fueling the FUD. Bitcoin and blockchain are here to stay.

Great to know future boy. Now I'm convinced to sell my three wives and children into this magic money scheme.

What's the token distribution like? I can't find that info anywhere on the site or whitepaper (just skimmed through it though as it's 48 pages).

"
Okay to sum up:
1. Chinese Government has requested audiences with the various chinese exchanges. And the exchanges are to submit the best plan for curbing the issue. No pairs or any information specified.
2. No banning of exchanges as of now as it will disrupt the economy and affect many Chinese investors
3. Regulations should take a few months to form up

The rest of the article only emphasizes the risk of BTC and also how it has been used for illegal activities."

So, buy BTC and ETH while they are low. I can't predict whether it will fall more below now that official sources are speaking up. So, you can wait to get incorrect buy now. All coins will reach their all time high and beyond after this correction.

What price are you buying in for BTC & ETH? In your opinion, will it go lower than $3k or should we buy then tops? Before you mention it, yes I know you can't predict the market, but I am just asking for your opinion :)

I'm not buying atm since I'm busy investing in other projects but I will be participating in the Virtue.Poker ICO.

I'm not good at predictions, the market is crazy with news coming in everyday.

1) banks wont allow BTC to survive , cox it cut their profit
2) governement dont want BTC becox it made them cnanot control the fund and AML issues
3) gov and banks will ban these BTC related accounts
4) BTC will fall for a while until ppl found a way to fit in banks and gov interests.

its not the technologies that dies. its juz too many shareholders in the market. everyone ( gov. / banks ) wants a cut.

my 0.00002 cents.

1) For many years people have been losing trust in banks & government, which is one major reason BTC & CryptoCurrencies are becoming popular. + Banks are complex when it comes to sending mone while Cryptos are VERY simple.

2) True. However they will try to control it else they'll be losing money. IMO down the road they'll simply have to accept the fact that it's become a mainstream currency and certain things will have to change.

3) I don't think a bank can really ban BTC. If banks start banning BTC, people would withdraw their money. I know I would if my bank didn't allow me to use MY funds the way I want - Without a doubt. They don't get to dictate how one spends their money.

4) Banks/Gov don't have a say on how long or how much it will fall. They can try to influence it (just like JP Morgan's CEO did) , but not make it fall until they are ready to use it to their own interest. I think by the end of the month LATEST, BTC will be going back up.

Oh, I actually asked you about the poker site, but I put the question inside the quote sorry, silly me. Anyway, here it is again:

1) Wrong, paper money and the current way international transfers work costs banks A LOT OF MONEY. Not to mention it takes days/weeks for confirmation. That's why the Federal Reserve and the Central Bank of England are testing the Ripple technology, because it will DRASTICALLY reduce their costs. So, banks want a cryptocurrency, but that doesn't mean they will implement BTC though.
2) Wrong again, whoever thinks BTC is anonymous has just read a couple of paragraphs in the first article that pops up in Google. It's not anonymous at all, especially since you are buying it with fiat currency anyway at the moment and to do that, you are giving away your details (CC or bank account).
3) Wrong, governments and banks might ban BTC and all the other 1k+ alts, but they won't ban the technology. They will simply take it, re-brand it, develop it further to make it centralized & controllable and then launch it as their own currency. Again, see Ripple as explained at point 1.
4) No one knows. My prediction is every government will implement its own cryptocurrency that will replace current fiat currencies in the very near future. But whether they will take BTC/ETH/whatever or develop their own as mentioned in point 3, that remains to be seen...

It's a 150+ billion dollars market. Soon it is going to takeover Visa and Mastercard in terms of market cap. So, believe it or not much much money is at stake and billions of dollars won't convert into dust.

@THUNDERELVI The next resistance for BTC fall is at $3200, so it can fall to that level. There are mixed news right now in market ( One of the major exchanges of China will hault trading by end of October). While the official sources are coming up that there is no ban on BTC in china.

$3500 is a good enough price. It will retain the $5k price after this correction. It is upto you on how much profit you want. But buying at $300 less price won't make much of a difference unless you buying very large quantities of BTC.

Just a friendly reminder that this week:
  • BTC has dropped 22.26%
  • ETH has dropped 26.33%
  • LTC has dropped 35.36%
Thoughts?

Thoughts: Glad I sold everything in anticipation. Thanks Charlie Lee.

Too bad people abused him, he will probably keep his exclusive info to himself next time

Whoops. Let me update this post for changes in the past two hours. In the past week:
  • BTC has dropped 28%
  • ETH has dropped 31.48%
  • LTC has dropped 40.97%
I think these major coins might be correcting themselves back to the levels they were at before the spike. Only time will tell, because I sure as shit would not advise taking any advice or suggestions from the fly-by-night future-predicting experts on here.

And right on time, the expected Coinbase technical issues:
We're currently experiencing delays in processing some BTC transactions. Recent or new outbound and inbound transactions may remain pending longer than expected.

Where are the official sources?

The ELITES will eventually crash Bitcoin as it was used as a platform to get people used to virtual currency. If you think the central banks of controlling countries will surrender control you should get your head examined. The only question will be who will be the last suckers standing when it completely collapses? Buy gold, silver, and hold on to them for any currency crash would increase their value.

Actually resistance is when Bitcoin is rising and when falling it is called support level. Read here - https://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-traders-know-technical-analysis/
