Is bitcoin being used for illegal activities ?

Listen man, you have to get off of the exaggerated crypto hype train. It's not 2017 anymore. People did not care back then and they never will because as a form of currency it has no purpose. It does not solve any consumer needs.

To answer your question though, yes. In fact, some are probably attracted to it for that reason. As well as trying to avoid that money being taxed among other reasons.

Weird question. every single currency is used for illegal activites.

Of course, it was built on illegal transactions in the early days - actually, online pedos were the first to adopt it...

I would guess day to day transactions - buying/selling actual goods with BTC, is 90% illegal stuff. 10% grey-hat transactions web-hosting/domains, some e-commerce etc.

And the overall market cap is owned 90% by criminals, whales, speculators/HODLers. Those 10% left are noobies, and ppl who come in and get milked by whales on dips...
So yeah, investment/money of a future... :D

Say what you want but dealing with bitcoin is cooler than cash.
Plus, in some places (russia, poor countries) police might not know how to track down individuals using crypto.

You are in favor because of this ?

Bitcoins if you dont want the money to get back traced to you, obviously

It would be funny if OP's username autoincremented for each redundant one liner thread spawned.
