It's excellent for learning. Because there is so much information, it might seem chaotic and overpowering at first, but don't get nervous. Learn one term at a time and read other people's journeys. Write down what you find interesting in a separate document and in no time you will read BHW like you would a children's book.

This is a great place for learning, but you'll have to have some intitiative and do it without being guided. It's not that difficult to find the rules and it's not that difficult to start looking for valuable threads. When you encounter terms and abbreviations you don't understand, google them before you start a thread asking what they mean. Invest some time into understanding all the free info that members provide and then start experimenting with methods and keep learning. Nobody but you can guide you to success.
