And if it’s useful there’s no catch is there, like having to thoroughly learn python first or so on...

any experience or insight would be appreciated.

You can easily code Scripts with Codeless Automation Builders like BAS,Ui Path,Selenium Testing Tools etc.

Auto Hot key is also a Good Option.

autohotkey is for window automation. It's super easy to use, you don't even have to write code just use this tool : https://www.macrocreator.com/

It’s not too hard! Although if you’re really planning to be serious about automation, I would consider other languages like chromeless.
