Step #1 Learn how to do keyword research and then identify buckets of keywords, e.g. buyer intent, informational, these are always the two buckets for me. Trust me, if you can find the right keywords then you will rank in time - you will have to work on this and learn it but all the information is available on the forum because that's how I learned to do it.

I only look for a few things when picking a keyword:

1. user generated content on the first page of google (reddit, quora, forums) OR other weak affiliate type websites.
2. what kind of websites are ranking on the first page? (if MAJORITY e-commerce then you need an e-commerce site, if review then you need a review site) : this ties into search intent.
3. Drop anything with huge authority sites on the first page since they will be pretty tough to beat for now, at least not for a few years until you get your site up and running and establish some authority.

Step #2 is writing content. Simple, look at what is ranking on the first page to identify search intent. You just have to put yourself in the shoes of the person typing the query and understand what would they want to see in an article related to the query. Then go ahead and craft an article that is better than everything else on the first page. better = more informative and usually longer.

Step #3 Setting up a Website (WordPress is pretty easy, just look up stuff on youtube or buy a udemy course for $10) and On-Page SEO (Really not that hard 100's of guides on it right here on BHW, all of them work fine)

I blazed through a bunch of the modules. A few good reminders here and there. One unique way to measure keyword difficulty (but nothing spectactular). The rest was all noob basic stuff tbh. I'm still going thru the course just to see what the hype is about and if there are any good nuggets.

I used to be a member long time ago. It really comes down to how much do you have money to burn... if you have a few K only, don't buy it. If you're bathing in money, sure, why not.

All the info is top notch of course and you can be guaranteed not to be led astray. But still, it's one steep price to pay for a course -- especially if you're in the mindset that the membership alone will do it for you. Everything takes hard work.

If you have money but no time, i think you should pick it up. Because they lay it everything organized.

But if you have time but no money, you can search that same info in bhw. The cons of course it takes time to complete the puzzle.

I advice you to buy it if you have money. Why?
Saving time. Because searching in bhw sometime get you lost, couple guides here sometime misleading you. And it will cost you lots of time.

But if you are smart and lucky enough, you can find everything here.

Actually, you don't even need to read any books, courses or even forums, you simply write very good contents + outreach to get very good niche backlinks (free or paid) = you get everything.
