I'm using a Windows Server 2019 VPS from Layer7, and I'm constantly getting logged off. The server itself doesn’t shut down — it stays online and operational — but after some time, it keeps switching to a logoff state automatically. I'm 100% sure this is an issue on their end.

I’ve already configured every possible setting to prevent logoff (via Group Policy, registry edits, session settings, etc.), and I’ve searched everything I could on Google. Despite all that, the VPS continues to log me off after a while.

I’ve opened multiple support tickets and they just keep saying they don’t know. Then they told me to pay for support, which I did — and still, no solution. All they say is "it works fine on their side." I’ve already verified it’s not an issue with my local PC settings.

What’s worse — they keep confusing "logoff" with "logout", and I keep trying to explain the difference. It’s extremely frustrating. I asked for a proper technician, but they just claim they’re already the expert. Honestly, it’s been a nightmare.

Has anyone else experienced this with Layer7 or found a fix? I'm beyond frustrated — if they were standing next to me, I’d probably lose it. Any help would be appreciated.

It sounds like they’ve enforced an idle session timeout policy server-side, even if your settings are correct. You might try confirming if Terminal Services settings are restricted remotely.

It keeps logging off automatically after some time. Is there any way to fix this?
