Is anyone using ads on LinkedIn?

Ads on LinkedIn can work well for B2B, jobs, SaaS, and professional services, especially when targeting a specific audience where higher-quality leads matter more than low CPA.

We have been running LinkedIn ads for client accounts for some time now, and from our experience the platform works very differently from Meta or Google.

To answer Evelines' question on budget - for testing, LinkedIn generally requires at least $50-100/day to get meaningful data because of how their auction works. Minimum daily budget is $10, but you won't get enough impressions to make decisions at that level. We recommend starting with $50/day for at least 2 weeks before judging results.

On the broader question of whether ads work: they do, but only for specific use cases. What has worked for us:
- Lead gen forms (native LinkedIn forms) for B2B services, software demos, and webinar sign-ups
- Sponsored InMail (Message Ads) for high-ticket offers where personalisation matters
- Thought leadership ads targeting specific job titles

What does not work well on LinkedIn ads: direct product sales, affiliate offers, anything priced under $200. The CPCs are too high ($5-15 range) to make low-ticket offers profitable.

The organic + DM funnel approach that others mentioned is more practical for most use cases here. But if you are offering a B2B service or SaaS, LinkedIn ads can drive qualified leads that are hard to get on other platforms.

Yeah you’re right LinkedIn is mostly used for organic traffic and personal branding, not so much for CPA. The audience is more professional, so only certain offers (like B2B, SaaS, or career-related) really work. Ads are effective but can get expensive, which is why affiliate options feel limited there.

@Hafsa SEO - that's exactly the trade-off. The professional context is what makes the targeting precise, but it also inflates the cost. For B2B where lifetime customer value is high enough, the CPCs are justifiable. For lower-ticket stuff, organic + DM outreach is almost always the smarter move.

@sujoy_1916 - happy to help with specifics. What kind of offer or business are you running ads for? That changes the answer a lot in terms of format, budget, and whether LinkedIn is even the right channel for you.

I tried few weeks ago. It was very expensive and i got 0 lead lol. It did not work for me..

Some years ago i tried for a saas based business, and it was funny: althogh we didn't had much contacts, the contacts we had ended up having the biggest sales (ammount wise). Then i sold the business and stoped using, but if you have something related to b2b, it's worth trying.

Are there any LinkedIn advertising service providers? I need LinkedIn advertising services.

Ads can work very well for B2B, recruiting, SaaS, and professional niches, while organic content is still preferred because it builds trust and lowers acquisition costs over time.
