Is anyone making money with Flippa?

The flipping of new sites still works. Works best with a site that offers services. It got a bit saturated after that WSO was released in feb. but there is still a ton of buyers looking to pick up turnkey/out of the box service based businesses.
The key really is to make it look pretty with a solid template. temp latic offers really good themes for this. iproduct and eproduct are two of my favs. think you can find them in the dl section

Is it ranking or getting any traffic/revenue? I might buy it off you if it is. PM me the details.
I wouldnt suggest it unless you know for sure what you going to get...or your offering something truly unique.
for new sites I would sell them on dp instead because ppl buying sites there are looking for cheap new sites that they can monetize and sell as a established site on flippa

I have had no luck with flippa
I tried a site that generates $300 - $600 per month, and i got a few bids, but nothing even nearly worth selling for
I also tried a fairly new site, that generates no $$$ but has a great domain (exact match), really well made site, uses facebook connect. The kind of site I would charge about $10k to make. I got one bid for like $200
So, in my opinion, flippa sucks ass. It's not worth the expensive listing fees

maybe its the way you title your post. that says alot i mean people are spending thousands they're not going to buy something that sounds half assed. no offence.

Flippa works great. As in everything else in IM you just need to lay down a solid plan and know which resources are good and which are not that good. Or in other words where to buy and how to sell since this model is based on "flipping" by the very definition of it.
As already suggested check Meathead and Bryanon threads about it, I was among those who put their hands on their course and really happy I did!

It's all in the way you present your site. If the auction listing copy sucks, you won't get much attention to the auction.
I haven't ever had a site that was generating revenue not sell on Flippa, and for a good price at that. Now I don't know for sure without seeing your listing, but I'm guessing it was all in the way you presented it.

I tried two different methods for the title, the one was something like:
$500 per month, NO WORK, established site
(that was before flippa changed their terms and you could still put $ values in the title)
The other was:
Exact Match domain, One of a kind site
I thought they were pretty good. Also, in my listing I provided loads of quality info, really "sold" the sites, loads of screen shots and stats and still no bites
I will try again, but I must say I was very disappointed with the results

Did you feature it?
Did you follow up with all bidders and comments and answer questions quickly?
Both of those will also play a part in how well your auction does.
I believe you that you didn't get many bites on the auction, but if you have a good quality site like you say, then there has to be a reason for it. People are always looking for quality sites to invest in, so if you do everything correctly, then you will definitely get some bids.
Maybe you can put the listing here and we can take a look at it and give you some tips.

Yes you can make a lot of money on flippa by selling made site, but in most subject you can find a site in there so to really sell the site you want to sell you need to have a site that up and running. I sold few site on filppa it is a nice way to earn some money.
