Is Anyone Else Noticing Violent Movement In The Serps Lately?

I've seen this also, all of the competitors that are on page one don't have the keyword in their backlinks and the one big brand name competitor which has been on page one a long time is even slipping because they have a lot of this specific keyword anchor as their main anchor text

I tried to keep my brand name as the main anchor text and I've gradually slipped from 3rd to 14th since Penguin 2.0 but its happened very slowly... and Tuesdays tweak made it drop a couple of spots but its hanging on so I must have done something right.

I didn't use anything obviously blackhat but I've bought a couple of High Pr/Good Trust Flow links recently including Sape, obviosuly with pressure from my client its not helping... I'm hoping this is just a dance and things will settle... my anchor text is about 30% keyword and 30% brand in Ahrefs but one of the competitors is higher with 1000's of anchors for this keyword as their main keyword(but like I said they have been slipping to 10-11th just ahead of us)

What do you think guys, do adding Sape links cause dancing like this? I bought about 20 sape links from one provider and some other Sape links from some Russian sites.. so not major vendors that would be on Google's radar. It started slipping before I bought the Sape links, don't think they've even been processed by Googlebot yet so I'm thinking its anchor text variation for sure

This doesn't seem link specific since I don't use sape on my sites and they all have a pretty clean backlink profile.

I just noticed I've gone up 2 spots for a long tail keyword for the page I built Sape links to, I bought several Sape links for the long tail and several for the main keyword, wonder why I've gone up 2 spots for the long tail and down a page for the main keyword.... :/ perhaps its dancing and hasn't processed all the links yet

Yes I don't think its link specific, I think Google has become increasingly tighter in terms of anchor text, I don't think they are placing much emphasis on keyword anchor text now at all... which would be easier for them to target. However, I've seen them throw outdated stuff from large corporate names up to page one or just clustering multiple listings for 1 site and this is poor user experience.I'm in the financial niche and on page 1 for a major term has two multiple listings for 2 domains, a Wikipedia page and some outdated stuff from Barclaycard... seems they are over targeting EMD's and exact match anchor text just because its a method blackhatters use... regardless of whether quality sites might have a EMD or high anchor text which happened naturally anyway

Data centers are very random right now.
Could this affect me since I'm in Thailand but I always check Google UK ? yes I've been seeing things change by one or two spots and competitors coming and going every 30 minutes when I refresh

A few sites dropped as well. From the top of page 1 to the bottom of page 1. Doesn't look to be link related since I don't get aggressive or spammy with my link building but what I can conclude is the sites that have taken over are BIG authority sites. A few weeks ago those were no where to be found now, they've pretty much pushed their way up. Many of these "authorities" aren't even optimizing for the keyword that they are ranking for - talk about being relevant SMH.

btw, has anyone having success bringing their sites back up a few positions, please share or PM me - would love hear about it.

Looks like panda update, but there was update for sure
