Hi guys,

I recently started testing LinkedIn Ads for B2B leads, but CPC feels really expensive compared to other platforms. I’m getting some leads, but the cost per lead is hard to justify for a small business.

For people running LinkedIn Ads, is it actually worth it for smaller budgets or better to focus on other PPC platforms? Any tips?
 
If you have a smaller budget, focus on improving your targeting, and trying out organic outreach in addition to ads, before scaling up. Sometimes a smaller, but highly qualified audience is better than trying to reach everyone.

before scaling budget, i would test different offers and ad formats first. sometimes changing messaging or lead form setup improves CPL more than targeting changes.
 
linkedin is too expnsive for small budgets bro, try cold outreach or meta ads for b2b unless ur product ticket size is huge.

One thing that bugs me with LI is they auto switch on audience expansion and the audience network by default, and that quietly burns budget on junk placements off-platform. First thing i do on any new campaign is kill both. Also turn off max delivery bidding and set manual bids low, otherwise it just spends to hit volume not lead quality.

@JazzoAds already covered the lead gen forms and yeah they convert way better than sending people to a landing page, the prefill cuts the drop off a ton. For really small budgets though i wouldnt try to cold prospect on LI ads at all... the CPCs will eat you alive. Use it to retarget people who already hit your site or engaged with your posts. Cheaper clicks and the intent is already there.

had a client last year who insisted on pure cold awareness on LI with like a 40/day budget, total money pit until we flipped it to retargeting only and let google search catch the actual intent traffic.
 
B2B actually works surprisingly well on Meta Ads these days for a fraction of the cost. The targeting is not as precise as job titles, but the massive drop in CPC makes up for it.
