Hey everyone,

Just wanted to get your input on outsourcing appointment setting. I'm planning on hiring a full-time telemarketer to target local businesses in my area. I haven't developed the specifics of the approach yet but I'm curious to know if this is being done by anyone here?

I'm interested to know the following:
- What would be the best place to find telemarketing VAs?
- What's a good reasonable compensation model?
- Do you use incentives or commissions for closed sales?
- What the best way to "harvest" leads?
- Any particular twist or approach that has worked really well for you?

Thanks

Keep in mind you might have to train them or go through a lot of these people to find a good one. You can find them on Craigslist, oDesk, Freelancer, etc. The best way to pay is hourly with a bonus for each successful appointment/phone call with you/whatever. That way they have an incentive to do a good job.

You can hire a few at a time and put them in a position where they know they need to earn your business.
You can someone that needs to work at home because of a health problem or family issue like looking after someone.

Would you recommend getting telemarketers from the Philippines? Did anybody here have outsourced telemarketing to Filipinos?
