Is amp a good idea for seo?

Hello there. I've been searching for a long time but can't get an answer. Are amp pages good for seo? When I create an amp page with wordpress, Semrush starts giving a duplicate header error. On the one hand, I'm wondering about the effect of the amp on seo. Can anyone who has experience with this issue share information? Should I use an amp?

no, it never was. don't bother with it. a stupid concept by google which they gave up on.

As part of this update, AMP is no longer a requirement for pages to be included in the Top Stories carousel. That change will take effect as early as this Thursday. In addition, Google is expanding the usage of non-AMP content to Google News and removing the AMP badge icon from search results.

AMP will no longer use in the next few months (maybe August).

in my case it is have impact on rank, but i'm not use it, my competitors does, they got a lot of featured from google, snippet, "peope also ask" section, and yes higher rank than my site.
 
AMP is not must essential one!! And now a days It's less effective!

Nowadays, Amp are not a ranking factor, But some of them are still using for many reasons. It increases the loading speed of your mobile pages. It appears in a structured data pages in serp. It provides fast reliable web experience. Now, It means Speed is a ranking factor for google search.

Many people wonder, is AMP good for SEO? Well the answer is it depends. AMP is a framework that makes the loading times of web pages much faster in comparison to traditional HTML pages.

AMP works by stripping out unnecessary elements and compressing the remaining content into tiles that fit within AMP's guidelines. This results in AMP pages sometimes reducing file size by 90%.
AMP also provides an extremely limited set of features in comparison to standard HTML codes, this means that AMPs are often very visually unappealing when compared with non-AMP sites. But this isn't necessarily bad for AMP's effect on SEO.
 
I use amp because 80% of my traffic is mobile. But it's much better than that.

Who wouldn't want his pages to be cached by google itself? That means instant load.

I think it's a no-brainer. People who say it's not necessary might not like it cause it's not compatible with many plugins, but you can use transitional or disable amp on a specific page, problem solved.
 
AMP is very important and it is going to be ranking factor officially as core vital web, after these google updates, one fact is proved again that user experience is everything for Google, and more than half of users, use mobile to open website until you have some specific websites. and loading time is a very important ranking factor that comes Core vital web, google count this as a user experience, and you should think it yourself, why would you retain on a site, that loads too late, fix it it's important.
 
AMP was a great idea in theory, but big publishers complained because ad delivery (outside of Adsense) didn't work and was difficult to implement, meaning more traffic but less revenue.
