Is Amazon FBA dead?

Hi guys,

Been trying to get into Amazon FBA for a while and everytime I do seems like the market is just really over saturated. The other issue also is using tools like junglescout. Once you find a item on junglescout, it seems like once you are ready to go through with the order, someone using the same tool also has found the exact same product and listed it on Amazon before you can.

One further issue to add is the fees which come with Amazon.

Has anyone had any success recently with FBA or is it a market on its way out for people trying to get in?

I've yet to have any luck with my products on FBA from the beginning of the year.

As you said, problem is that most of the people entering this market are using the same tools to find products. And since you need to manufacture them it takes a good while before you have your items ready to sell.

And when they finally are in the warehouse you need some reviews before you get organic sales.

Tbh, I can only see it being worth it if you have unique products, which you should sell on your own sites anyways.

If you don't have a good plan bringing in reviews at the start and then external traffic I don't see it being a good idea to start.

Also, it's a pretty big investment at the beginning which makes it kinda risky compared to some of the "methods" on here.

I'm still about $1200 down from my "investment" into FBA.

If you want to do E-Commerce, I highly recommend becoming a reseller or doing Dropshipping.

Both lower starting cost and better ROI in the long run if you do it right.

Is not dead but pretty much you need to throw money to make money kind of biz model. Yes competition is fierce and even if you found another garlic press product, soon there will have many sellers following if your sale rank is good as you mentioned all using the same tools like JC, VL and helium10.

Which money making method do you recommend, if you have less than 2k to invest?

I stopped doing amazon FBA years ago. But one thing I learned is you need to have another avenue too sell your garlic presses on in case
you cant sell them via amazon.

FBA would work if you are selling a product that's distinct enough to be worth branding

Check Google trends and look for product ideas

Create brand demand through Pinterest

Use FBA the way it is meant to be used-a fulfillment platform for your own distinct products

Amazon FBA is not dead. It's just a matter of finding the right product to promote. The best tool in the market are Viral Launch and Jungle Scout.

The key point in this business is Private Label. You need to find a manufacturer who is ready to private label the product for you. You need to search for such a product, having good sales volume of say at least 10 sales/day that is 300 sales/month.

Reviews count matters most, you need to check the reviews people are leaving, keeping in mind that you can beat these Reviews with your product listing; then the Ratings, how are the ratings on the products. It is better to go with minimum 4.0 or 4.5 or above rating.

There should be proper Title of the product, with your relevant keywords. The Bullet points matters, the description matters most. If you search the product on your Mobile, you will find that the Description appears first, so it is important that your product description is most descriptive about the product.

There are many factors, i understand, overall this is a business and you have to take it serious and do whatever it takes to get succeed.

I think Amazon use FBA for around 50% of their stock so I’m pretty sure it’s not quite over-saturated yet.
