Is Amazon easier on new accounts than eBay?

I want to try Amazon because eBay’s fees are ridiculous even with seller subscription but I don’t know if I would rank. Can anyone with experience tell me if I would have a good chance ranking on there? Do they let you promote your listings for free like eBay and only charge you when an item sells? How much of a chance would I have with a new accont?

I heard a lot of people renting amazon storage, buying stuff from AliExpress/Alibaba and selling on amazon

Amazon is kinda dead for non chinese sellers. Since they openedup the european market its fucked up

The Chinese are taking ver the world Need high import tax or banned all together. They even get super free shipping epacket but u.s. sellers can't. No one can compete.

I remember when Amazon first got going and it wasn't open to China sellers.

There are a ton of American and foreign brands doing very well on Amazon.
