Hi, blackhatters

Im`, thinking of becoming an affiliate and direct traffic to my site using methods found on this forum. But on their website it says that I get only "up to 10% commission". Is it worth it? Maby some current affiliate can share some figures?

Check out Whitepassion's journey. But you need a lot of sales to reach 8% commission. In the beginning the commission is like 4% or so.

Is it worth it?

That all depends on what traffic you have and what products you are promoting...

If you don't have much traffic and its not targeted no it isn't worth it.

If you have a few thousand visitors a month that is targeted to high cost items sure its worth it.

Yes its definitely worth it,check some awesome journey threads on how some members here are making lots of money off amazon.Starting to it soon too.

The Amazon affiliate program is perhaps the oldest out there. I joined their program in the late 1990's and it did quite well in the early days.

These days you gotta differentiate in order to do well. Everyone else can join and there are millions of competitors in every niche. So unless you got something really new, I'd go with a CPA or PPD program instead.

Thank you for all the answers, they helped me a lot.

I think it's worth it if you focus on this. I had my personal youtube video back in 2011, I copy and uploaded a solar panel video without editing just plain download and upload thing and put a direct link. I just knew in June 2012 when I open my Amazon account that I have a commission lol. Funny thing is the solar panel that I advertise was not the one who got commissions, just take a look at the pic below.

One day I'll foucus on this when I'm done my project. I can't do two projects at a time I get distracted easily...

Yes 100% worth. You just have to find the right product to promote and you'll be all set. I'm thinking about getting to Amazon soon

It's worth it. whatever niche your in start researching sites that are in the same niche or relatively close to yours, and see what they are promotion if anything and if they are try to get the same products and give them a shot with your traffic, and see if it converts, you can also try and track down the sites traffic sources and see if you can get a converting traffic stream for the product that way. I have always noticed that products that go along with a product you already provide convert much better, but that's only when you have your own product most of the time.

Hi there, I have been with amazon affiliate for longs time and made the good money out of it. Your site don't really to have much traffics, as long as the niche you are working for is good and potential. Writing products reviews is one of good way.

Hope it helped.

You wouldn't really know unless you try it i guess. But there are many people in this forum who are quite successful affiliates with amazon.
