Is Aliexpress all that bad?

I am a complete newbie to drop shipping. Having decided that I will try it out, I made the decision to make Aliexpress my supplier as they seem to be the only one who sells the product that I have chosen for a reasonable price(Cant find any other manufacturer for my product at all). Having gone through this subreddit, there seems to be a lot of resentment towards Aliexpress, mainly because of their shipping times which seem to be 15 days at the minimum as listed on the website, although I did contact a supplier who told me he could ship in 3 days even though the website said different.

Does Aliexpress’s shipping take as long as it displays on its website? And if it does, do you guys think that this would be a problem for me selling these items? And if it is a problem, what are some recommendations as to what I should do? Thanks

Why not get in touch with the companies selling the products directly and try to figure out with them a different shipping method that would be faster

but yes they usually take a that long, 30 to 45 days in some cases.

I tried ordering some items from aliexpress and it took some 6 weeks to get to me.

That would definitely be a problem for dropshipping.

Aliexpress Standard Shipping (and preferably Choice shipping) will get you 10-15 day delivery. I don't know why people say 30+ days (they probably ship to weird countries, or use wrong shipping method like Aliexpress Saver)

Other than that, there are good sourcing agents like CJ / USADROP / YAKKYOFY, etc. Try with them, or find an agent.

Too many issues with aliexpress and shipping times is not the only major issue. Quality is unpredictable. In many cases they initially send good quality products and then eventually drop the quality. In short, there are going to be more problems than solutions.
If you want to dropship, go for a local supplier and if you still want to source from china go for private labeling.
