Is AI Super Useful or Super Useless ?

AI is super useful—it enhances productivity, solves complex problems, and powers everyday tools.

It’s like asking if fire is useful or dangerous—it depends who's using it and for what.

AI is super useful if you know how to leverage it. But yeah, blindly relying on it or using it without understanding the risks? That’s where it gets scary or useless.

Right tool, right hands = game changer.

I think people will have to become even smarter in order to live together with AI and be able to use it competently.

I really like AI honestly. At first i did not care about it at all, like for example when searching for images on pixiv, almost all the time i only get "ai generated" results, and i went to the settings to hide those all, but then one day i disovered a couple image AI sites, started trying them out, and got super addicted to them.

I started off as a newbie not having a clue how to work any of the stuff, like for example always get 2 identical guys/girls when im trying to do 2 people in an image, etc. but i started learning and getting used to it after 4 or so months and how to do it all properly. It's pretty fun and addicting really, in my opinion.

If it were truly useless, you wouldn’t have needed ChatGPT to create this thread. So, it’s not useless, it's just that our capacity for independent thinking has reduced to some extent.

Advantages of AI:

1. AI can process massive amounts of data and perform tasks way faster than humans.

2. AI doesn’t need breaks, food, or sleep—perfect for repetitive or 24/7 tasks.

3.In areas like medicine or manufacturing, AI can reduce human error and improve precision.

4. Once built, AI can automate tasks, cutting down on labor costs.

5. AI can quickly analyze trends and patterns in big data that humans might miss.

6. It can work non-stop, unlike humans who need time off.

7. AI can be used in environments that are too dangerous for humans (e.g. space, underwater, nuclear plants).

Disadvantages of AI:

1. Automation can replace human workers, especially in repetitive or basic jobs.

2. AI can't truly think creatively or understand emotions like a human can (yet...).

3. Over-reliance on AI can reduce human skills and decision-making abilities.

4. AI learns from data—if the data is biased, the AI becomes biased too.

5. Creating advanced AI systems can be very expensive and time-consuming.

6. AI can be used maliciously (e.g. deepfakes, autonomous weapons, data breaches).

7. AI might follow logic but still make dumb decisions because it doesn't "understand" like humans.

It's only useful when you don't overuse it and use it correctly. Be a wise user and don't believe all the information AI provides.

Although AI can be misused, it does not mean that it is useful. Automation can make tasks a lot easier and improve productivity. Although, in certain scenarios, like in Blogging, humans still need to edit the articles. But while some manual work is needed, the workload is lighter when compared to having to write the whole article from scratch.

AI is complementary rather than a substitute. The real value of AI lies in collaboration with humans.

Doens't matter how useful AI is, it is still useless if it is in someone who has no idea what to do with it.

It’s not black-and-white. AI’s a tool like a hammer. It can build or break. In medicine, it spots cancer patterns, saving lives. In logistics, it cuts fuel costs. But it’s not smart , it just crunches data.

Bad data means bad results, like biased hiring tools. Hype makes it seem like a cure-all, but it’s not. Overuse it and people stop thinking. In remote areas, it’s useless. Ethics matter too since AI can invade privacy or amplify bias. Its value depends on us. Are we wise enough to use it right?

If you know what you are doing, it's useful
If you don't know what you are doing, it's useless

seems like a shit post to me

As you can see, it is very useful. We take advantage of the advantages and what AI can do to serve humans.
If AI has emotions and thoughts like humans, then can humans still exist!? At that time, we will lose completely, because human strength is limited and robots do not, they work non-stop and will wipe out humans.
