Everywhere you look, people are pumping out AI-written content, AI ads, AI graphics, everything. It’s efficient, sure, but most of it feels the same.
Do you think AI is making marketing more boring and predictable, or is it just leveling the playing field?
At what point does “automation” stop being smart and start killing originality?

I notice the same thing. But I think it's just a phase.

More and more people are already feeling an overdose of marketing that smells like AI a mile away. Most makers use AI by following trends, so they all end up doing the same thing — it's the pattern we've seen before with other trends. Except this one's much more obvious because it hits every niche in a few days, every time there's a new trend.

But here's the thing:

1- Eventually there will be more people skilled at weaponizing AI creatively. It's relatively new, so people are jumping in fast without time to learn in depth. (I admit I feel that too.) That'll change.

2- At some point, it becomes mandatory to actually stand out with AI. The web gets so overrun with identical AI crap that it just stops working — like those ad banners in the top right corner of blog headers back in the day. Then everyone's forced to create something genuinely different, but still using AI to move faster and scale. Because those are the rules now.

That's how I see it, anyway.

there's no originality, however there was very lil to begin with anyway. it is what it is tho, ppl gotta evolve with it. i find the levelling of the playing field very positive, days of accumulating intellectual data and vomiting wherever possible are over and pretty much will have no value imo giving way to passionate, creative and talented minds to shine.

Ai is making work easier, For example i don't know hard coding, But i use Gemini to build a fully functional website including blackened.
In some point Ai isn't killing creativity, Its helping people make work easier.

The AI trend will pass soon, and people will get tired of it. I agree that everything that AI does is the same. AI has not yet surpassed humans in terms of advertising capabilities.

There are more non creative people out there than there are creative ones. Right now, the non creatives are running through AI, but eventually the hype will die because at the end of the day you can't out create a creative person. AI is only as good as the person using it.

AI is leveling the playing field for efficiency but true originality still comes from human creativity, storytelling and insight that automation can’t replicate

in a weird way my bet is that it will bring more creativity. previously people tried to copy each other, use templates and some were creative but many just clone or copy. then ai came and i agree it has saturated the slop significantly. but from here i think we may start seeing creativity return as it is one of the only ways to really stand out now from the slop machine

Honestly been thinking about this a lot lately. I started freelancing last month and everything I write feels like it could have come from a bot even when I try to make it different.

I have been thinking about this a lot. It feels like AI makes things faster, but the personal touch and creativity are slowly disappearing from most content.

This has been on my mind a lot lately. I am just starting out with freelance writing and I have been questioning how to find my own voice among all the AI noise.

On one hand you could say it's helping out, but on a wider view it's actually hurting human creativity, so kudos to those creatives that are anti-ai they'll not be limited nor used.

All prompts and ideas used are merely collective info so already AI is far more capable than humans (getting off track already)

I don’t think AI is “killing” creativity, it’s just exposing who never had much of it in the first place.
Most of the AI content you see feels boring because people just copy/paste whatever the tool spits out. No editing, no personality, no angle. Of course it all looks the same.
But the people who actually know marketing are using AI more like a power tool:
to speed up research, test ideas fast, repurpose content, or get rough drafts done so they can spend more time on the creative part.
So AI didn’t make things less creative it just made the lazy stuff more visible.

AI in marketing is a double-edged sword. On one hand, it has brought significant improvements to efficiency, scalability and precision in our industry. AI can churn out large volumes of content at a fraction of the cost of human writers. It can also optimize campaigns for maximum ROI.

However, as with all things that rely on algorithms, there is an inherent sameness to AI-generated content. When everyone uses the same tools, the output starts to look and feel similar. The human touch brings nuance, depth and personality to our work that AI alone cannot replicate.

Everything is gradually becoming automated and mechanized. Over time, people will become lazier in developing their thinking and increasingly dependent on machines, automation, and technology.
