Is Ahrefs and Semrush really that great?

Did they really help you a lot? What is the most useful functions of these 2 tools for you?
It depends, on what you want to do. There are cheaper ways, when you need skale - I mostly use dataforseo, it's API based only, but has good data as well and is relativly cheap, skalable and has not an Abo but Credit modell, so you basicly only pay per request, not on a monthly level, where you probably won't use all your data-requests anyway.
You will need such a tool, if you want to do something with domains and domain metrics become important. It's very usefull for keyword analytics as well. If you only want to do conent based SEO, you might be able to go with google trends and stuff like this as well, but on some level you will need a data source, you can build upon.

Those tools make a difference from competitors. My first choice is Semrush. You should follow one of them.

both are good for key metrics and competitive analysis, keyword research, and overall search engine optimization both are helpful to your digital platform I prefer Ahrefs is better than semrush

The information you get from these tools is invaluable. It seems expensive if you're starting out, but it's not much for an essential tool once you're making money. You can try less expensive tools like Ubersuggest, but they aren't as good.

It has tons of information including backlink data so you can reverse engineer their link profile among other things. Definately worth the price if you have an idea of how to use it for your goal.

Yes, those two are definitely the best overall for SEO/KW research. You can still be successful without them but they can provide a huge advantage and also save time. Most important thing is to understand how they work and how to get the most use out of them. I would watch YouTube videos to learn how to use them first, then use a free trial. Best way to learn without spending any money

  • Monitor bonding links.
  • Get keyword ranking alerts.
  • Analyze internal backlinks.
These are the most useful fuctions of 2 tools.

I dont think just by using these tools can improve seo. They just check for errors.

Yeah both tools are useful to get ideas in competitor analysis , Keyword research , Site Audit etc..

I was too greedy to pay for either for a very long while until I had no other choice. I don't remember what I was looking for, but I had a very specific job that I needed to be done so I subscribed to ahrefs.

I have not regretted that decision since.

It's just that, sure, it's expensive but you can't even imagine how much time it saves and how convenient it is. You'll be way more productive by having everything in once place. You mightn't need all of the features right now but you'll eventually run into problems that will require that additional data.

Of course, if your total SEO budget it $500 per month then it makes no sense to subscribe to a tool that'll cost you about $100 in the most basic configuration but it's something that you should keep in mind for future.

Wow, what a nice little advert I've written. I should take commission for such posts, damn it! :D

Each Ahrefs and SEMrush tool offers unique features and capabilities, so it is imperative to choose the one that best suits your needs.

We can't always look into Aherfs but SEMrush I use them to get competitor analysis and keywords research, I think least to find perfect keywords and their search volume you need some tools.

I prefer Ahref than Semrush .
Well, since this is about Local SEO tools, neither is great. These tools were built to rank and study national keywords. Ok, so you can add a GEO modifier, but really useless since you can't track local keywords by GPS. Small Exception. SEM-Rush has an add-on for local that gives you Yext and some GEO-Grid ranking, but there are much better tools.
