is afternic trusted or scam?

Hi, I put some domains on afternic a while back, today I received an email with an offer of 10k for one.

Now they're asking for the auth code. It says the transfer is manual

Is there any escrow in place, will I see the money, anyone with an opinion or experience with this company will be great.

I see that they are owned by godaddy but the trustpiolt and other reviews are pretty negative.

Worried i'll lose the domain and the money anyone help me out.

Afternic is a legit company, but the email does sound like a pretty popular scam. Do not give out the auth code until you are 100% sure that the money is placed at a legit escrow. Also check if the sender of the email is real.
 
Ive logged into the account called them the offers seems legit. just wanted to know the company is. cheers

Afternic is legit. Just make sure the email is not someone impersonating them & only send the Auth code directly on the Afternic dashboard & not via email. Good luck with the sale & hopefully you made serious bank ;)..

Afternic is a very serious and legit company. As far as I know they use escrow.com for their transactions.
 
Yes, afternic is legit company. But if someone tried to buy your domain for a lot more than what you listed as price, beware, it can be a scam and you can lose your domain.
