With all these evil update coming its not difficult to assume that affiliate marketing is no more working.I used to work on Halloween and Christmas keywords back in 2010 but I just checked the current serps and it seems that Google is now giving tough time to even based blogs and websites..no made for amazon or adsense sites are visible even big content farms are not there.All I can see is online shops selling their stuff.I also tried searches like "Christmas gift ideas" etc but same results.So my question is "IS affiliate marketing dead now"

Dead it's a big word. I know peoples that still banking with affiliate marketing. Sure it is at the least half nice as it were
 
It's only harder to rank... but it's no impossible... that means it's not dead!
 
Ranking is actually easier now, think about it. All the noobs which blasted crappy pdfs and used exact match anchors and such, now their methodology wont work. Authority is much easier to gain if you know what you are doing. All of my websites are still ranking bar 3 because I took some gambles on them. Focus on social signals and partial match anchors.
 
It's alive and kicking. Affiliate marketing is a different beast on it's own. The fact that you think that getting traffic from G is becoming more difficult doesn't mean that affiliate marketing is dead. If you can get the right type and amount of traffic, you could make insane $$$$$$ with affiliate marketing. It's still the most profitable way to make money online.
 
SEO and affiliate marketing is not the same thing. You can still promote your affiliate products through social media, FB, twitter, pinterest, instagram youtube. etc.

And for your info SEO is not dead either.

Stop making dead or alive threads.

because they can easy sell their product without affiliate
but many affiliate networks you can use
affiliate marketing not be will dead if you have email marketing ppc marketing etc :D

It's only harder for the noobs ;) I'm sure the big timers are making a lot of money due to a lot of people giving up now.
 
Affiliate market is dead and soon Google will also dead and soon we all become zombie.
 
The approach and strategy will have to be different in order to make affiliate marketing work. The old strategy of ranking on Google and relying upon traffic through it will not work well nowadays. Firstly, you have to spend heavy resources to get ranked. Secondly, your ranking is no longer 'permanent' due to the frequency of the updates by the search engine. In conclusion, diversify your traffic sources and gain followers of your site who will respect and listen to your view. This is where affiliate marketing works best.
 
Affiliate marketing and SEO are dead

They have been for like 10 years now. So move on. I'm personally going to mcdonalds as recommended in this thread.
