Is adding a link to an existing article worth it?

Hi guys

So I've emailed a local news outlet about link building and they gave me two options, either getting a sponsored post for $100 or add a link to an existing article for $25.

I'm happy with the link alone but I'm not sure I'll get the link juice this way? What's your experience?

It's called niche edit and I don't know why it's priced so low (maybe cost if new content?) Anyway niche edits can be just as effective as guest posts. Plus the pages are already established and indexed which is great.

Fire a few web 2.0s after the link is inserted into the post. It'll get google to recrawl the page and pass any link juice

That's a steal, very good deal unless the site is spammy which could be given that they are aware of and ready to offer niche edits to anyone, hmm...

DR 30+ on ahrefs. My website I'll be linking to is rather new. Since it's a general news website I think it'll be a good one
