Hello. I'm not from the US and I want to receive views from the US. Do I need to buy a proxy or does TikTok itself understand this video for the US audience because I use the text in English.

I'm now using a free VPN in the US

It is a factor yes, if that's your main goal then there is no reason not to use a US proxy.

Add hashtags and look for trending ones in the U.S. to include in your posts. This helps your content trend and get more interactions.
Posting with hashtags also boosts visibility on hashtag pages.

Tiktok cares more about how people interact with your video than your location. Using a us vpn can nudge it, but what really matters is making stuff that actually clicks with the us audience.

For TikTok, the Simcard is the vital thing to get exposure from the US. Ip they look at aswell, however it is the Simcard they track.

Yes, using a US proxy can help you appear as though you're accessing TikTok from the US, which may increase the chances of getting views from US users.

TikTok doesn't just look at the English text; it looks at your SIM card, device language, and the IP address where the video is uploaded and consumed. If your account wasn't set up in the US, you need a dedicated residential or mobile proxy to trick the system into thinking you’re a native US user and serve your videos correctly.

Creating videos that match US interests and popular culture will naturally attract viewers, VPN or not.

Yes, you need to use a proxy and configure your device settings as in the USA.

Tailor your content to US culture and humor genuine engagement drives views more than any VPN.

Yes, for consistent US reach use a US mobile or residential proxy, and make sure your account and device language and settings match your target audience.

Location is mostly based on the ip and sim number used when you are creating the account. So any ip location and country phone number used during the opening of account is what count as your country location.

free vpns are garbage unless you absolutely found a good one. but you can try a mobile proxy.

I think the recommendation algorithm itself plays a bigger role here. Yes, it's better to use a connection from the country where you want to get views, but that's no guarantee of success. Often, viral videos end up in recommendations and gain views from other countries.

A free VPN might help slightly, but it’s unreliable—TikTok can still detect your real region, so creating consistently engaging English content is usually more effective than relying on proxies

VPN and proxies help a lot !! But they wont do the work for you, first u will get people from ur country and if the content is in english and its a good content then it will go to other countries as well

free VPN + English text is weak signal only - TikTok looks at account creation context first, IP type, SIM/mobile carrier, device locale, then behavior

If you want consistent US distribution you need US mobile or clean residential at creation + upload, not just posting time

VPNs get clustered fast. Content can break out globally later, but initial push is geo-biased, so decide if you want control or just hope algo carries it
