Hi guys I was just wondering this because I just found a keyword that has around a 13 dollar CPC, only has a true competition of 55 and has 2900 searches a month. The keyword is a misspelled keyword and therefore google comes up and says "Did you mean...". Will this keyword still be effective?

I really doubt that it will because most people click that "Did you mean" in my opinion.. But if you are looking at the .com version of the domain name, then you maybe looking at type in traffic and that domain parked or something could get you some moolah..

With Google being the major search engine, I highly doubt it's worth your time to focus on is spelled words.

Nah, I don't think it's working now as Google already "fix" misspelled words on its own by "Did you mean" feature. Don't waste time pursuing misspelled words.

Well, I have a niche website with the misspelled keyword as a domain name for over two years now. Alone with this site I was generating upto 1200USD monthly in sales being ranked #1 in google results for this misspelled keyword.

Go figure

thanks for the input guys. I don't think i am going to go along with it.

keep thinking that they don't matter, more traffic for me.
