Is a link from this PR8 any good?

Service magic is pretty much the number one site for construction companys to get leads from, my question is, I have an account with them and in my company description I have a link to my website. Is it worth more if its on the main page of the site or in my personal company description.

As long as the link is not nofollow, the authority from the domain itself will be passed to your website. However, as your business description page itself is not PR8, it will not pass you as much of a direct PR/SERP "boost" compared to a link on the main page. A link anywhere on a PR8 domain, in general, is one you will want to be grateful for.

defo as other people have said, you have nothing to lose and no-follow will still do work for you, go for it!
