Good sites will not accept guest posts for free. You have to pay them good amount to get the guest posts live. But when finally you calculate returns in spending for a good guest post, it will always be worth it. That is why I suggest everyone to keep 50% of their total budget for marketing the blog with activities like guest posts.

By far, there are very very few sites that cares for quality and give free guest posting opportunities. Although it exists but it is a rare combination. So a high level of caution must be exercised when opting for free guest posts.

It depends on where you put your backlinks. Sometimes free works just fine. Ensure that it gets indexed.
