Is A Good Spot In Yahoo Worthless?

I'm on page 24 in Google for my keyword but on Yahoo I'm in position 7 on the first page. Does this mean anything traffic wise?

It depends on the keyword. If it only gets 1k or 2k searches a month, you won't see much from that position in Yahoo. If it gets much more than that then you may.

My experience has been that traffic from Yahoo and Bing doesn't convert as well as Google traffic but that may just be in the niches I am in.

It's 33,000 monthly.

Yahoo gets 10% of the searches, so that will be equivalent to getting to #7 in Google for a term with 3300 searches a month. You can expect some cash for it, probably somewhere in the $xx range monthly.

Don't expect too much from yahoo and bing. I rank at least #1-4 for a large amount of keywords on there, but they don't provide the traffic like Google.

Yahoo I find gets me nothing, less than 5% of my traffic (even when ranked much higher on yahoo) and like the previous poster mentioned, Yahoo doesn't convert.
I pretty much just ignore it.

Yahoo and Bing do increase my traffic but generally if i put some spammy links in with my link building but keep the focus on google then yahoo and bing usually has similar ranking results. That extra traffic does help though which is good so don't completely forget them... especially if google was to drop your site!

If I have a number 2 on google and a number 2 on yahoo for the same words - then google provides more than 85% of my traffic. Bing and Yahoo provide the rest.

Yahoo seems pretty weak nowadays. But I wouldn't count it out completely I'm sure you'll make some off of it.

Yahoo search is powered by Bing and bing & yahoo together account for close to 30% search market share.. but ultimately it depends on the keywords whether they are being searched on yahoo/bing or not.. So yahoo/bing do provide traffic.. But 7th position on page 1 is not going to get you much traffic..

I have been getting excellent converting traffic from my #1 Bing rank. Yahoo not 2 bad either.

ya thats good..google is best, but yahoo still gets millions and millions of viewers
