Is a .co domain behind .com domain when we talk about seo?

im pretty sure .co is in front because it's a sub domain. not sure though man =\

lol. yeah i didnt know it was an actual domain until i went back to check. 
.Co is identical to .Com as seen by Google.
I asked the question to Google when I bought my first .Co because there was no option to GEO target it, it was grayed out.
They replied with something along the lines of "Yes it has been opened up to everyone and yes it ranks the same, the option will be there for GEO targeting soon, we are working on it..."
Something similar to that anyway.

I think it does take longer, but will will rank just as good. Although I have a new .info I tried and it went to #8 for 16k exact searches instantly with only 1 backlink =)...But now it's down to #18 but still, I didn't expect that at all with a .info...But with other websites I noticed my .co takes a lot longer to rank but in the long-term it doesn't matter.
