Like in the topic, do you think that database like that would be interesting thing to sell ?

Database contains things like username, name, join date, website, tweets, following, followers, favourites, description, last tweet date, logo url, number of photos, most often used keywords on user account (+ tweets).

Raw size of compressed database is ~ 1500 GB (uncompressed ~ 25 000 GB, took about 2 weeks worth of server farm time to process whole database).

I think that ~ 10k $ would be a good price ?

What do you think about it ?

I don't see how to monetize this kind of stuff

Without email address/mobile number list not worth much

It is worth that to someone, maybe build a service (whitehat) looks at guys like sysomos, they were making a killing selling data access.

I'm willing to purchase 10k accounts.. if you wanna sell in portions

No he just used the twitter api, all this data could be easily grabbed.

So you just scraped 50M users? That's not worth anything, someone could easily scrape that (if it was a hacked database it would contain info that you can't find publicly already, all stuff you can find publicly can be scraped and costs nothing but a little time and some proxies/a vps). Maybe if they were all real people who had sought out and followed and account and you sold that account but just a scraped list is garbage, people scrape huge lists everyday - that one is probably actually worth less because its just 50M random users not a smaller list of a targeted demographic.

Look at it this way, it took you two weeks to scrape the data. The coding needed to scrape this data isn't that difficult (or costly were you to hire someone to do it), would you pay $10k for something you could do in two weeks with a little bit of effort?

You'd be better off hosting the database & trying to get 1k people to pay $10 for access to it.

In my opinion it is worthless. What can this be used for? Even if it can the potential buyer has to scrape the data anyways, so he can do it manually by running a custom made scrape script :)

Why buy for high price, we can get it for free just using scrape, if anyone need just contact me on skype :)
