I have used 301 redirects in a few projects where the referring domains were contextually relevant and had solid indexing history. They can still pass value if implemented carefully, but the impact isn’t as strong as it used to be. In some cases, it helped recover partial traffic loss but only when combined with overall content and technical improvements. I treat 301s more like a supplement than a fix. It's worth testing, but I’d also audit other SEO factors like crawl issues or update-related shifts.
