Hard to say but most likely the answer is no. I have seen and spoke to many people that spend hundreds of dollars and made zero sales. Don't under-estimate dropshipping due to a success story because most people will fail and come unprepared.

I wrote a little basic thread about drop-shipping here.

Never think like this, people lost the most money wanting to at least make their money back.

Rule as always, only spend what you can afford to lose.

You need to test and see the results, you will have looses at the beginning but you will also have some stats that will show you what you need to improve. Don't expect big results from the beginning, it will not happen. Just test few ads with a low budget, get some numbers and improve the ads!

Seriously, how are people giving any other answer than this. If he hasve a limited $5 advertising budget he's not destined for the world of PPC. Whats more why the heck isn't he just using a $200 Bing voucher?

Good question. I forgot about Bing . Thanks .

What's the min I should risk then for fb? I can wait and save more money if I have to .

Yep, Bing offers new user vouchers (or did last time I checked). As for Facebook I'd start VERY slow and VERY small as it can be a black hole if your approach isn't right.

facebook isn't for small budgets. At start, facebook cpc is $1+. Start with something like Bing or GDN.

It's enough to get started. However, that amt won't take you too far.

the money doesnt matter but the user does, so a good player in this would make income with 0$ and expand it .

$30 dollars of ad spend is probably not going to give you enough data to make an informed decision. You could create a campaign, spend $30 dollars, get zero conversions, and deem it a failure at that point. But what if that campaign was actually super profitable, but you deemed it a failure too early without spending enough to make a proper decision? That's why it's important to have a proper bankroll before you dive into paid marketing.

Ok you say, then how much do I need to spend so that I don't end the test prematurely? Well a rule of thumb a lot of affiliate marketers use is 3 times the offer payout. So you need to now how much each conversion is worth to you, and then see if you have enough money to fund that test campaign.

And that's just one test! To find profitable campaigns you need to do multiple tests with many losers. But who knows, maybe on your first shot you will hit it.

Good Luck :)

In Adwords the best strategy is to start with a large sum and spread it and then start optimizing and spend the money only in the places the get you the most value. So I would say $30 is not enough.

The best strategy is to make some buzz around your business first (FB, Twitter, related forums/reviews, youtube, etc.), make some SEO and then dive into PPC. Otherwise, you'll spend $30 easily without any positive effect.

good idea, Thanks.

NOPE it's not enough at all .
that can be considered ass a budget to test 1 Product .
i am not in drop shipping but my friends are so that's what they say .
and it's logic too cus you will not find your winning product from the beginning .
