Is 2015 SEO book still relevant today?

That would actually help clear a bit of confusion indeed especially for newbies. Maybe there is option to filter out and hide all older posts somewhere in forum options.

I'd say it depends on the book...
This one was first published in 2013, and I guess if you get youself a copy from 2013 you will still find lots of valuable advice (it's an ebook, and it is kept up to date by the author): "The Link Building eBook" by Paddy Moogan http://www.linkbuildingbook.com/
The first edition of "The Art of SEO" was published in 2009, and almost EVERYTHING they wrote is still valid today (although they published a second edition in 2012): https://www.amazon.com/Art-SEO-Theory-Practice/dp/1449304214
Blackhat guides tend to have a much faster decay rate

Agreed with ender78, basic are the same-quality content and backlinks,but you need to constantly be in tune with cutting edge methods by following different marketing blogs, well-know marketing specialists and SEO news portals.

basic technique still remains the same but yea advance level of SEO is changing almost every day. Read BHW and other SE related online magazine for advanced level update.

Well seobook99.pdf from 2008 still has some relevant stuff in it. Why not a book from 2015?
Of course some of the elite methods that worked 2 months ago don't work any more. But for the meat and potatoes you should be ok with a year old book.
