Is 123 Reg safe?

Hi,I am selling my domain and 123 reg have just contacted that they have a buyer for my domain.
I have listed my domain on flippa and 123 reg sent me an email
I just want to know if I should sell the domain there on 123 reg buyer?
Anyone had any experience with 123 reg?

I have domains there, never had any problems and everything seems above board. Never sold anything to them though, I would be careful it's not someone pretending to be 123reg??

I would investigate that further, 123 reg is a legitimate company and have been around for years but their domain is .co.uk.

Try contacting them through their website and see if they do send email from that address.

Yeah, just contact them directly because it could be some kind of scammer sending the mail, the site itself is legit.

Hi there. I got similar email recently. Were you able to get in touch with them. Is it a scam?

That sounds like the "domain certificate scam" that has been long around. In most cases he says he got a buyer who is willing to buy your domain for a absolutly ridiculus price like 20 000 $. In the next step he should ask you to buy a "certificate" for 200 $ from some fishy website. Ofc after you did that, you will never hear from him again
